Improving stability of chloralkaline high-temperature PBI-PEMFCs

This work focuses on the production of electricity using chloralkaline high temperature PEM fuel cells (HT-PEMFC) comparing, within range 120–180 °C, performance a cell equipped with cathode containing novel Ru/Pt catalyst manufactured at mild conditions another which contains conventional Ru based (Ru0.75Pt0.25O2). Performance electrode 120 °C is much better, but this situation reverses higher operation temperatures, where outperforms Ru0.75Pt0.25O2 in terms electricity. In addition, new allows to operate even 180 completely deteriorated. Results pointed out that materials are bottleneck for HT-PEMFC technology opens window search help improve their future development.
